Our Service

Are you LGBT+ and feeling unsafe in your home environment or relationship? Have you been assaulted or have sexual health concerns? We understand it can be extremely difficult to access the support and understanding you may need to navigate the complex issues involved in abusive relationships and experiences.

You do not have to face this alone. We have specialist LGBT+ domestic abuse workers in Devon and Cornwall who are here to support you, as well as a specialist LGBT+ Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence Worker across Devon.

Trauma Stabilisation

Our staff at the Safer Rainbow Project work with the skills to enable Trauma Stabilisation; an approach focusing on emotional regulation following trauma in a safe supportive space, exploring tolerance, grounding strategies and self-care. This framework is a part of our holistic support process, allowing our clients to share and heal from their experiences in a supportive environment.

Group Work

We currently run support groups for Empowerment following Domestic Abuse and Trauma StabilisationThese groups are in-person and led by our staff.

Our Empowerment group works to provide clients with a space to rediscover who they are, understand healthy relationships, help them with creating personal boundaries, overcome isolation, and share experiences in a validating and understanding environment.

Our Trauma Stabilisation group works within our framework to create strategies for emotional regulation, grounding and self-care within a group of peers with similar experiences.
